A note from Oleksandra Baukh - founder and designer:

"When I design clothing I'm inspired by a modern woman. She is confident, dynamic, humane, compassionate and unstoppable. She is not strong in spite of her femininity, she is stronger because of it. The modern women are incredible, radiant beings, in other words - they are in all of us!"

Originally from Odessa, Ukraine, Founder Oleksandra worked as a marketing manager. Her fashion career began when she started writing a column for one of the top editorials in the Ukraine. Attending fashion shows, meeting clothing designers, and writing reviews on new collections developed Oleksandra's personal fashion sense and gave the idea to create her own clothing line.

In 2012 Oleksandra moved to US, and decided to pursue her dream to be a fashion designer. She learned everything from the beginning - pattern making, constructing, and fabric selection. Oleksandra currently studies Fashion Design at Parsons School of Design.

The idea that motivated Oleksandra was to create casual chic designs to help the everyday modern woman stay stylish and feel comfortable at the same time. She hoped to create a sustainable, durable and long lasting garment.

Oleksandra practiced her newfound love of design by making garments for herself,  family, and friends before finally opening her online store in 2016. She then gathered the BAUH designs team, all driven by the same goal of handmade small batch clothing, and started selling her pieces online.

Oleksandra also started to collaborate with boutiques that feature independent designers. To find boutiques that carry BAUH designs collections click Stockists.
